Prohibited Ingredients Policy
Any shop may sell on Iibsi as long as they do not list products containing prohibited ingredients. Halal certification is optional and only required if you want to display a "Halal Certified" badge on your shop or products.
Prohibited Ingredients
Products containing any of the following must not be listed on Iibsi:
- Alcohol and intoxicants (wine, beer, cider, spirits, liqueurs, cooking wine, alcohol-based extracts)
- Pork and pork derivatives (bacon, ham, lard, pork fat, pork stock, pork-derived gelatin)
- Gelatin from non-halal animals
- Animal fat of unspecified or unknown origin
- Meat explicitly labelled or known to be non-halal
Automated Ingredient Scanning
Every product is scanned before publication using its name and ingredients list. If any prohibited ingredient is detected, the product is blocked and the shop owner is shown a clear message explaining which ingredient caused the rejection.
Halal Meat Products (Optional)
Shops may sell plain meat without halal certification. If a meat product is advertised as halal, the product page must display:
- A clear "Halal" label or badge
- The Halal Provider or Supplier name
- A halal reference number or certification reference (if available)
Shop Agreement
- You will not upload products containing prohibited ingredients.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your ingredient lists.
- If you mark a meat product as halal, you must provide a valid Halal Provider or Supplier name.
- Violations may result in product removal, account suspension, or termination.
Admin Rights
The platform administrator may remove products containing prohibited ingredients, reject submissions, suspend shops, terminate repeat offenders, and update the prohibited keyword list.
